Nonprofit makerspace secures lease at 219 Peekstok Drive, move anticipated early 2026

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Kzoo Makers, a nonprofit community makerspace serving Kalamazoo County, has secured a lease for a new facility located at 219 Peekstok Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49001, and is planning a relocation during the February–March 2026 timeframe. The move is intended to support the organization’s long-term sustainability and expand access to shared tools, equipment, and educational programming.

The new location offers optimizes floor plan and layout for large-scale equipment, workshops, and collaborative projects, enabling Kzoo Makers to better serve hobbyists, entrepreneurs, artists, and students across the Kalamazoo county region. The relocation reflects the organization’s continued growth and its commitment to providing accessible, hands-on learning opportunities for the broader community.

“Securing this location gives us the stability we need to focus on growth adoption rather than short-term lease constraints,” said Lynden, Board Member at Kzoo Makers. “While the move will require significant community support, it positions this organization to operate more effectively in the years ahead.”

During the transition, Kzoo Makers expects periods of partial downtime as equipment is moved and essential infrastructure is reestablished. Information regarding volunteer opportunities, moving schedules, and any temporary access limitations will be shared with members in advance.
